Stenbrohult

The light from the lake Möckeln creates a comfortable harmony around the church in Stenbrohult..

This church from new classisism was behaved 1828-30 just south of the middle Ages, which was torn in connection with the construction of new building.

In the weapon house, is a present letter signed of Carl Tukasson. This Carl Tukasson was owner of Möckelsnäs and the legend tells that he, during a dangerous churchtravel in early christmas day, both him and his horse went through the ice on the lake of Såganäs,said a prayer to God about beeing saved. If he´s been consulted he assures to build a church on the eastern beach of Möckeln(at this time people from here were forced to go as far as to Virestads church). So it became the year of 1337 is the first time the church of Stenbrohult is mentioned.

A grave field with eight cairns from the bronze age exist in the beech wood south of the priest farm.

Stenbrohult

In connection with the work beside the cemetery was lit on during the late part of 1990-century a stone endowed road. A part of this is set uped so that it once saw out for several hundred years. The road exists structured on a map from 1696.

Churchstables from the start of 1900-century and an old house consults to the environment at the church.

South of the cemetery exists the rests after the old priest farm where Carl von Linné grew up in. That´s where the father was a Vicar during the big part of his life
