Möckelsnäs

Möckeln has an area of 46 km2 and has got the present character after a reduction on 1,85 m during 1850th-century. The entrance takes place through the stream of Helge and from the lake of Agunnaryd, small stream Helge and stream Helge along Diö.The lake is not regulated, it´s surrounded with forestand has water, that is insignificant contamin-ated through wastes.The most important fisheries are perch, pike and pike-perch. Grinds is often caught and all three entrance is important for this kind of fish. Since grinds is a kind who needs heat has the open areas and deciduous forest arround the watercouses probable contributed to do the relations favourable.

Yet another exceptional kind of fish, Zope, occurs. Möckeln has a lot of valuable bird lives. Big numbers of disturbance sensitive articles exist. Of these is noticed loon and fish hawk. As break the sea is a big value for Goosander, Whooper swan and Sea eagle.

Several fast mark areas around the sea has very big ornithological values.Only a minority in natureforests of same size that the Möckelnarea with big deciduous forestexists in Sweden. The big number hedge spirit birds consults with the forestcomposition. For small woodpecker and small spotted flycatcher is Möckelnarea one of the most important area for birds in the country. Many exceptional beetles lives in the different kinds of forests.

At Möckeln beach, just west of the society Möckeln lies a popular sandy beach. The people from Älmhult have swum here since the societys establishment. Before it happened that the bathing people must pay for entrance.
Since 1930 to 1999 there was a camping here, a small one but very popular.
