Möckelsnäs is a peninsula in the lake Möckeln. After a journey on winding grit road through powerful deciduous forests you passes Möckelsnäs country manor. South of the buildings lies Krunan,a nature reserve with deciduous forest. The bedrock is the “the black granite”, a green stone that creates good possibilities for the plant life. The highest point is in 30 meters over the surface of Möckelns lake. Here grows high-grade deciduous forest mostly oak and avenbeech, also lime-tree, elm and hazelthrees occurs here. On "Kronan", many exceptional species enjoys like liverleaf, suffolk lungwort, Solomon´s-seal, "lundtjärnblomma", baneberry and the exceptional grass giant fescue.
DeOn the precipices grows interesting ferms and mosses. The powerful trees give also conditions for rich birdlife and the area is favourable also for shells, insects and snails. |
